Privacy policy

Last updated: 2026-10-30

This policy explains what data is collected when you visit mac-easyweb.com, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to hide behind.

Who we are

mac-easyweb is an independent publication about running AI on Apple Silicon Macs. For any privacy question or request, contact [email protected].

What we collect

  • No accounts, no newsletter, no sign-up. The site does not ask for your name, email address or payment details, and there is no login.
  • Server logs. Our host (Vercel) records standard request data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp for security and reliability. These logs are retained for a short period and are not used to build profiles.
  • Advertising cookies. Set by Google and its advertising partners when ads are served. Described in detail below.

Advertising: Google AdSense

This site displays advertising through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.

  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • You can opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
  • For more information about how Google uses data from sites that use its services, see Google's partner sites policy.

Where required by law — in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland — we ask for consent before advertising cookies are used, through a Google-certified consent management platform. You can change or withdraw that consent at any time by reopening the consent dialog from the link in the site footer or by clearing cookies for this domain. Visitors who decline may still see non-personalised ads, which use limited data for frequency capping and fraud prevention.

Analytics

We do not run third-party analytics or tracking pixels. Aggregate hosting statistics do not identify individual visitors.

Cookies you may encounter

  • Advertising and measurement cookies — set by Google and its partners, subject to the consent rules above.
  • No first-party tracking cookies — the site does not set its own tracking cookies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking advertising cookies does not affect the content of this site.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (GDPR). California residents may have the right to know, delete, correct and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (CCPA/CPRA). We do not sell personal information.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. Requests relating to advertising cookies can be handled fastest through the Google and aboutads links above.

Children

The site is aimed at adults working with computer hardware and software. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Third-party links

Guides link to external sites such as project repositories and official documentation. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; read their policies.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
